Our Board approved Climate Transition Plan aligns Zealand Pharma with a 1.5°C pathway in accordance with the Paris Agreement, and our decarbonization targets are approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)

Sustainability owned at the top
Sustainability at Zealand Pharma is owned at the highest level of the organization.
The Board of Directors sets the overall corporate and sustainability strategy, while execution is anchored in Corporate Management. This ensures sustainability is embedded into strategic decisions and operational priorities across the business.
Incentives and accountability
Sustainability performance, including climate target, is integrated into company wide goals and incentive schemes for all employees, including Corporate Management. This reinforces accountability and aligns day to day decisions with long term sustainability objectives
Global frameworks
Zealand Pharma is a participant in the UN Global Compact, committing to support the Ten Principles on human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption. The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) has approved Zealand Pharma’s near-term science-based greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction target. We have also committed to set a long-term science-based net zero target with the SBTi, in line with reaching net zero by 2050.
