Experience

Marissa was appointed Vice President, Chief of Staff to the CEO in October 2026. She leads corporate strategy and sustainability and works closely with the CEO and Corporate Management to shape and advance the company’s strategic priorities.

Prior to her current role, Marissa led New Product Planning at Zealand Pharma. Previously, she worked at LEO Pharma, leading portfolio and commercial strategy for pipeline assets and led cross-functional teams across the value chain. She began her career at Zealand Pharma in R&D.

Marissa brings broad experience across corporate, portfolio and commercial strategy, drug development, and market access, with extensive experience in cross-functional leadership.

Education

Marissa holds a Master’s degree from the University of Copenhagen, specializing in health policy, finance, and health systems, and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Alfred University, New York.
