Zealand’s pipeline in the field of cardiovascular diseases includes two drug candidates in clinical development;

• Danegaptide, which has completed Phase I and is under evaluation by the company as a novel treatment in the field of cardiac protection, and

• ZP1480, which has completed Phase II studies for the prevention of post-surgical kidney injury in partnership with AbbVie.

• May 3, 2012 AbbVie (formerly Abbott) signed a licensing agreement with Zealand Pharma for the further clinical development and commercialization of ABT-719 (ZP1480) for prevention of acute kidney injury.
