Peter Benson, Vice Chairman of the Board

Board member since 2007, Vice Chairman of the Board since 2010. Peter Benson holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from University of Lund and a M.A. in Economics from University of California, as well as an Executive Development Diploma from IMD. Peter Benson is Managing Partner of Sunstone Capital and joined as Partner and Head of Life Science Ventures in 2003, as well as having created the strategy for the LSV group. In the 1980s, Peter Benson held several international marketing positions in global companies, e.g. Unilever and Farma Food, until joining KABI as General Manager for Denmark. In 1990, Peter Benson became Marketing Vice President and later President for Pharmacia Hospital Care.

Prior to joining Sunstone Capital, Peter Benson operated his own holding company while co-founding four companies and serving on 11 Life Science boards, including the publicly listed companies Biogaia, Ortivus, and Optovent.
