Linda Sjöström, Board member
Board member since 2007. Mrs. Sjöström holds a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Danish Technical University. Linda Sjöström joined BankInvest Biomedical Venture team as Partner in early 2001. She is responsible for a number of BankInvest Biomedical Venture’s portfolio companies and currently serves as Chairman of the board of ACE BioSciences A/S, member of the board and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Santaris Pharma A/S, and member of the board of BioStratum Inc. Linda Sjöström has a total of 14 years of experience in the area of venture capital stemming from her combined time with BankInvest Biomedical Venture and Danish Venture Finance. Prior to joining the Venture Capital Community, Linda Sjöström spent 17 years in the pharmaceutical industry in various positions within sales, marketing and general management at Schering AG, Novartis, Sanofi-Aventis and the last 6 years as Managing Director at the Danish subsidiary of Syntex Pharmaceuticals, Inc. now part of Roche.
